The Task Comes First
We focus on the details that influence platform selection: what needs doing, where the machine can stand and how people will reach the work safely. Height matters, but so do horizontal reach, floor capacity, delivery access and the working environment.
Our equipment guides explain the differences between scissor lifts, booms and tracked platforms. Telehandler enquiries are treated separately because lifting materials calls for a different specification and operating plan.
A Clear Scope Before Hire
We ask for the site postcode, intended dates and a description of the work. Photographs and measured access dimensions help clarify the enquiry, and uncertain ground or floor conditions should be raised before a machine is selected.
Your enquiry may be passed to a suitable local firm after you agree to that sharing. Availability, equipment specification, responsibilities and contract terms must be confirmed with the firm quoting for the work.
Standards That Inform The Work
Relevant work must be planned around the Work at Height Regulations 2005, PUWER 1998 and LOLER 1998 as applicable in Scotland. The responsible parties must confirm suitable equipment, competent operation, maintenance and the required examination arrangements.
We do not present a website enquiry as a completed site assessment. The final selection needs the actual site conditions, the machine instructions and a safe system of work agreed by the people responsible.

Useful Information, Clear Next Steps
Our aim is to make the first conversation more useful. If you know the problem but not the machine, describe it in your own words and include the constraints you already know.
